One of the biggest benefit events in Serra Gaúcha was held again this Saturday night (04), in the pavilions of Festa da Uva, in Caxias do Sul. Promoted by the Chamber of Shopkeepers (CDL), the Men in the Kitchen benefit dinner reached its 19th edition, with 40 participating kitchens, with the Delta Fire team among them.
Since its inception, the income collected at Men in the Kitchen is donated to charities in the municipality. In 18 editions, R$ 2.5 million were converted to 280 social projects, which helped 221 thousand people directly and indirectly. In 2019, the year the event was last held, 27 philanthropic actions received BRL 280,000. For this year, two thousand tickets were sold and will help, again, thousands of people.
According to Mayor Adiló Didomenico, who participated in the kitchen of the municipal government, the improvement of Men in the Kitchen is not only in the meeting of people in favor of the most needy, but as a way of collaborating with society and helping those who need it most.
The president of CDL Caxias, Renato Corso, recalls that the event was conceived in the city by businessman Nelson Lisot, during his management at the head of the entity, in the years 2001 and 2002. "The result is the union of many hands around a single cause: to seek to reduce social differences and help institutions that work for people who need help, support and assistance in various aspects. promote a pleasant evening for those who prestige it", emphasizes Corso.
